About Us
Where does the name Yatamani come from?
Yatamani comes from Swahili, from the verb kutamani, which means to desire, to long for in the noble sense of the term. Yatamani, literally, means "they desire" or "they long for" — a form sometimes found in Swahili songs or texts, as in the expression "Roho yangu yatamani", "my soul desires".
The word also has a slight Japanese resonance that appealed to us — that sobriety, that delicacy found in the art of ritual in Japan, where every daily gesture can become a moment of self-awareness. A meeting of sounds, between two cultures, for a single word.
Our story
This desire is what has driven us from the beginning.
It all started with our solid cosmetics, designed to reduce superfluous packaging and return to simple formulas, with carefully selected ingredients. It was while building this first range, in contact with our first customers, that a realization became clear: there was a lack of a truly natural range specifically designed for children.
This is how Moments Doux was born — gentle care, adapted to the real needs of little ones' skin and hair, whatever their hair type, developed with a laboratory specializing in organic cosmetics.
Today, Yatamani continues to grow with the same demand: transparent, safe and effective products, carefully manufactured, to transform daily gestures into true moments of well-being — for children and the whole family.

Moments Doux, finally natural products for our children.
